Barbara A. (Raymond) Wilbur, 86, Worked at Baker Katz 25 Years

Barbara A. (Raymond) Wilbur, 86, wife of the late Robert Wilbur, passed away Aug. 22 at the Baker Katz Nursing home in Haverhill surrounded by her family.

Born in Merrimac, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Edna (Davis) Raymond. Raised and educated in Merrimac, she was the youngest of 14 children. Wilbur was employed for more than 25 years at the Baker Katz Nursing home as a certified nursing assistant. She also worked in the shoe industry and was a crossing guard on South Main Street at the Hunking School in Haverhill.

Wilbur is survived by her daughter, Robin A. Wilbur of Haverhill; five grandchildren, Josh Sykes, Corey Lemieux, Nichole Lemieux, Tyler Lemieux, Jonese Lemieux; eight great grandchildren, Connor Lemieux, Gavin Lemieux, Tristan Lemieux, Ryan Hall, Zaleina Lemieux, Kairi Lemieux, Aurora Lemieux and Logan Smith; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Robert Wilbur she was predeceased by her son Lynn R. Sykes and 13 brothers and sisters.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, Aug. 24, from 4: to 6:30 p.m., at  Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will follow visiting hours at 6:30, in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
