Cynthia J. (Kelly) Florent, 83, School Hearing and Vision Tech

Cynthia J. (Kelly) Florent, 83, of Bradford, died Monday, Aug. 21, at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill.

She was born in Haverhill, Jan. 12, 1934, daughter of the late Natenis and Marie (Leach) Kelly.

Educated in the Haverhill school system, Florent graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1951 and attended the former Burbank Hospital School of Nursing, Fitchburg. She earned her associates degree from Northern Essex Community College.

For more than 30 years she was employed by the City of Haverhill School Department as a vision and hearing technician.

An avid doll collector, Florent made porcelain dolls and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and cooking.

She was the wife of the late Robert J. Florent and her survivors include a daughter, Cheryl LeBlanc and her husband Robert of Bradford; son, Stephen Berezansky and his wife Judith of Bradford; two sisters, Kathryn Jackson of Salem, N.H., Marcia Chase and her husband Cliff of East Kingston, N.H.; five grandchildren, Debra, Thomas, Michelle, Felicia and Jaclyn; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Thursday afternoon, Aug. 24, from 1 to 3, at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, followed by a funeral service at 3:15, at the funeral home. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
