Priscilla A. (Perrault) Spaulding, 89, School Cook

Priscilla A. (Perrault) Spaulding, 89, passed away July 14, at Lahey Clinic Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Spaulding.

Born in Haverhill, April 28, 1928, Spaulding was the daughter of the late William A. and Virginie (Desourdie) Spaulding.

As was often the case, she left school to help support her large family, and began work in the local shoe industry. She moved on to work at Western Electric as a piece worker. In 1970, Spaulding was employed by the City of Haverhill as a cook for the school department, retiring in 1990. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Women’s Guild, and recently attended the Newton campus of Kingston Congregation Church. She enjoyed knitting baby layettes and cooking for family and friends

The youngest, and last of 13 children of the Perrault family of Haverhill, Spaulding is survived by her children, Judith Dickens and her husband Mike of Pensacola, Fla., and David Spaulding and his wife Cher of Haverhill; grandchildren, Gary Arsenault and his wife Lexi, Mark Arsenault and his wife Tammy and their daughter Madison, Brad Spaulding and his wife Taylor, Alyssa Spaulding, Michael-Jon Dickens and his wife Chalysse and their son Michael Garret Dickens, Timothy Dickens and his wife Jennifer, and Lisa Biello.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 20, at Kingston Congregational Church, Newton Campus, 5 Amesbury Road, Newton, N.H. Burial takes place the following day at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
