Haverhill Police Make Drug Bust Monday on White Street

Three people were arrested by Haverhill Police on drug-related charges Monday afternoon on White Street.

Twenty-nine-year-old Carlos Cortes-Cruz of 100 River St., Haverhill, was charged with three counts of possession of drugs with intent to distribute, distribution of drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws, while 22-year-old Joshua Simard of Nashua, N.H., was charged with possession of drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws. Allison Kriton, also 22 and of Nashua, N.H., was also arrested at the 31 White St. address on warrants relating to two counts of possession of drugs, conspiracy to violate drug laws and with being a fugitive from justice.

The arrest took place between about noon and 2 p.m. According to an incident log, police were initially called to the address around 11:30 a.m. for a report of a suspicious person.

In other police news, David Meader, 55, of Plaistow, N.H., was arrested just after 12:30, Sunday afternoon at 27 Webster St. He was charged with kidnapping, assault and battery, breaking and entering in the daytime and destruction of properties.
