Joseph F. Innis Jr., 89, Western Electric Supervisor

Joseph F. Innis Jr., 89, of Haverhill, husband of the late Alyce F. Innis, passed away Aug.t 4,  at Hannah Duston Healthcare, Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Joseph F. Innis Sr. and Sophie C. (Alartosky) Innis. He was raised and educated in Haverhill, a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1945. After graduation he enlisted in the United State Army and was honorably discharged. Innis was employed at the former Western Electric, which became AT&T, as a supervisor for 37 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 202 4th Degree and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He enjoyed traveling and trips to the casinos. He was a lifelong communicant of the former St. Rita’s Church and All Saints Parish. He loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Innis is survived by his children, Leslye Ann Coles of Chillicothe, Ohio, and Linda S. Francescone and her husband Daniel P. Francescone of Haverhill;  grandchildren, Daniel P. Francescone Jr. and his wife Erin of Haverhill, Lee F. Lahti and Michelle of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Brian J. Francescone of Derry, N.H.; five great grandchildren, Sean Lahti, Megan Francescone, Jack Francescone, Tyler Francescone and Nicholas Francescone. In addition to his wife Alyce, he was predeceased by his sister Catherine G. Ouellette.
