Fred H. Janvrin, 80

Fred H. Janvrin, 80, passed away July 25, at Lawrence General Hospital with his caregiver of many years, Judie Hogan White, at his side.

Born in Newburyport, he was the son of the late Frederick H. and May C. (Sanvan) Janvrin. He was known as a sweet, caring man who liked to travel on the train to Boston and enjoyed his many friends at Heavenly Donuts in Bradford. He was fondly known around town as the man with many hats. He was an avid lover of trains and camping. Janvrin was a John Wayne and Roy Rogers fan, able to quote from any of their movies verbatim. For his 80th birthday he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream to fly in a helicopter. He enjoyed traveling to Florida every year. He attended Career Resources in Haverhill where he had many friends.

In addition to his caregiver, Judie Hogan White of Haverhill, he is survived by his siblings, Donna Maddocks of Derry, N.H., Viola Harvey of Salisbury, Robert Janvrin of Amesbury and Kenneth Eaton of Newburyport; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Monday, July 31, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service follows calling hours at 7, in the funeral home.
