Anthony L. Fronterotta, 90, Was Finance Officer at Western Electric

Anthony_FronterottaAnthony L. Fronterotta, 90, of Haverhill, passed away July 1, at Wingate Nursing Home, Haverhill, surrounded by his family.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Lodovico and Carolina (Spacone) Fronterotta. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1945. After graduation he served his country in the United States Army serving during World War II in Germany and was honorably discharged. He continued his education at Bentley College School of Accounting and Finance, where he obtained his degree as a CPA in 1950. He was employed at the former Western Electric, and retired after 30 years from Lucent as a finance officer. He was a member of the Haverhill Golf and Country Club and a lifetime member of Telephone Pioneers of America. After retirement he enjoyed spending his winters in West Palm Beach. Fronterotta was a communicant of All Saints Parish in Haverhill. He enjoyed spending time golfing and playing cards with friends and family. He most enjoyed spending time with his family.

Fronterotta is survived by his children, Anthony L. Fronterotta Jr. and his wife Karen of Florida; Mark P. Fronterotta and his wife Liz of California and daughter and caregiver Dawn M. Fronterotta of Haverhill; stepchildren Daniel Beauregard and his wife Susan of Haverhill; Sharon Utley and her husband David of Florida and two grandchildren Mark II and Christine Fronterotta; and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters Mary Ebba, Anita Barberio and Angelina Scalese; his former wife Rita M. Fronterotta; and stepchildren Priscilla Garrett and Richard Beauregard.

Services are private and there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. The family  thank the staff at Wingate Nursing Home and Compassus Hospice for their care.
