Haverhill Public Library Announces Free July Events, Film Lineup

Haverhill Public Library has announced its July lineup of free events and films, providing city residents plenty of ways to stay cool this summer.

In addition to its book clubs, children’s events and computer classes, the library will host the following activities for teens and adults throughout the month of July. July 1, 2 to 4:30 p.m.: On Screen at the Library: “Fences” (PG-13; Screened in the Auditorium)

July 6, 2 to 3:30 p.m.: Teen Crafternoon: DIY Sunglasses (For teens in grades 6-12; held in the Milhendler Room; contact Rachel at 978-373-1586 x650 [email protected])

July 8, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Tie Dye Tea Towels (Adults 18+; Materials are provided – please wear clothing you don’t mind getting messy; Registration available online)

July 13, 7 to 8:30 p.m.: Holistic Health talk with Andy Morris of Newburyport’s A Better Life, discussing holistic health approaches including hypnosis, EFT and meditation. (Held in the Auditorium; Registration available online)

July 17, 7 to 8 p.m.: HPL Photography Group (Photographers of all levels welcome, no registration necessary; contact Suzanne Trottier 978-373-1586 x608 [email protected])

July 18, 6 to 8 p.m.: Healthier Snacking at Work talk (and free healthy snack samples!) by Chef Liz Barbour (Held in the Auditorium; Registration available online)

July 18, 7 to 8:45 p.m.: Knit and Crochet Group (Held in the Milhendler Room)

July 22, 2 to 4:30 p.m.: On Screen at the Library: “The Zookeeper’s Wife” (PG-13; Screened in the Auditorium)

July 26, 1 to 3 p.m.: Teen Murder Mystery Party (Ages 14+; held in the Auditorium; ‘80s attire encouraged; online registration begins June 22)

July 29, 2 to 4 p.m.: Coloring Club for Adults (Held in the Milhendler Room)
