Thomas Robert Bradford, 89, Was in Construction Equipment Sales

thomas_bradfordThomas Robert Bradford, 89, of Stoneham, passed away June 20.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving at the Naval Hospital in Newport, R.I. A proud graduate of The College of the Holy Cross, Bradford built a successful career as a salesman in the construction equipment industry. Raised in Boston’s Back Bay, he was predeceased by his parents, Matthew and Adelaide Bradford and five brothers and two sisters.

Bradford was predeceased by his wife, Francis A. (Murphy), whom he met in Newport. He leaves his children, Thomas Bradford Jr. and his wife Kathleen, Paul Bradford, Judith Ryan and her husband Peter, Susan Gwizdak and her husband Richard, Janet Odenwelder and Michael Bradford and his wife Wendy. He was the grandfather to 14 and great grandfather to 12.

Visitation takes place Tuesday, June 27, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St., Stoneham. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham, at 10 a.m. Burial follows at Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Sarah’s Place, 180 Water St., Haverhill, MA 01830.
