The faculty of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School last week named the school’s educator and support staff person of the year.
History Teacher Alex Valhouli was named 2017 Educator of the Year. He has taught history at Whittier Vo-Tech for 25 years. Valhouli is also cluster chairperson of the History Department and a senior class advisor.
Joseph Young was named support staff person of the year. Young has worked as a teacher’s aid in Plumbing, HVAC and other shops during the past year. He is now being hired as a full-time electrical teacher for the next school year.
