Tsongas to Speak at Saturday’s Dedication of ‘The Wall that Heals’

Congresswoman Niki Tsongas is scheduled to speak during Saturday’s dedication of the “The Wall that Heals” exhibit at Haverhill High School.

The one-half replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C., replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial arrived Wednesday and will remain through Sunday, Father’s Day. Tsongas joins Major General Peter Alyward, National Guard Retired, and will give remarks at the 10:30 a.m. event, honoring Vietnam veterans and their sacrifice.

Tsongas is a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee and ranking member of the Tactical Air and Land Subcommittee. Her office said she “established a Veterans Advisory Committee that meets regularly so that she could stay connected to local veterans, their families, and organizations providing veterans with key services in the community.”

    Remember when Tsongas was number one in CONgress in not attending Committee Meetings? IIRC, something like 96% of them she missed. Good times. As a Veteran, I wish they found a better speaker for this event. Niki has never met a NDAA/war funding Bill she didn’t like, and her DoD contractor donors thank her for it. The folks actually sent to die and become maimed & injured, not so much.
