Local author Tom Duggan is having a signing in support of his new book, “Heroes in Our Midst,” from the pages of The Valley Patriot, June 24 at Methuen’s Mann Orchards.
Duggan, the publisher of The Valley Patriot newspaper, collected stories and interviews from war veterans from each military branch dating back to March, 2004.
“In the 13 years we have been publishing The Valley Patriot, we’ve amassed quite a collection of stories from 134 local veterans who are now honored and remember in this great new book detailing how they played a part in history, and how it changed their lives,” Duggan told WHAV’s Tim Coco during a March Open Mike appearance.
Duggan’s book also includes personal photographs from the men and women whose stories he shares.
The author’s signing takes place Saturday, June 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mann Orchards, 27 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.
Some of these stories are amazing. A great read about our local heroes.
