Expect Boston Train Delays This Weekend

Shuttle buses will be in use for part of the Haverhill commuter line to accommodate bridge construction work.

Those planning to take the train to Boston this Saturday and Sunday should expect delays as shuttle buses will be used for part of the route.

The Haverhill commuter rail line will terminate at Malden Center to accommodate construction taking place on the Woods Memorial/Route 16 Bridge Replacement Project. Shuttle buses will be provided between Oak Grove Station, Malden Center and Wellington Station, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

Regular MBTA service resume Monday morning, June 5. The construction means there will also be diversions during the weekend of Sept. 16 and 17, and also during late fall.
