KidsFest takes place tomorrow in downtown Haverhill.
Under the direction of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce, the event feature two stages of live music and dance performances, children’s games and craft projects and food. Highlights include the junior and senior “Haverhill Idol” competitions.
Besides a full program of acts, listed in detail below, an anchor stage furthers the mission of the Steve Lyons Fund. The stage showcases young performers, especially musicians, while giving them the opportunity to hear from and visit with more seasoned entertainers. Music includes rock and roll, punk rock, blues and reggae. Performers include Paul Prue, Sammie Cain, Push the Limit, Timberlane Rock Ensemble, Veronica Lewis, Bundle-Up, Too Stubborn, Leather Shark, The Blast, Deviant, Fear to Fall and Spur of the moment.
The free, annual event kicks off with an address by Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini at 11 a.m. Activities continue until 4 p.m., in the Riverfront Cultural District.
