Blanche A. (Znamierowski) Davidowicz, 84, Owned Crescent Farms

Blanche A. (Znamierowski) Davidowicz, 84, of Ward Hill, passed away peacefully at Lawrence General Hospital oWednesday, May 10, surrounded by her family.

Davidowicz was born in Somerville June 13, 1932, daughter of the late Lucyen and Sophie (Bolezja) Znamierowski of Poland. Raised in Ballardvale section of Andover, she was a graduate of Punchard High School, Andover. She was employed for several years with the Doherty Real Estate and Insurance Company, Andover, as well as BayBank.

Wife of the late Walter E. Davidowicz, who passed in 1995, they shared 35 years of marriage. They began to raise their family in the Ward Hill section of Haverhill after purchasing Crescent Farms in 1964. She worked alongside her husband at their farm that is still operating today. She was a devout Catholic and longtime volunteer and parishioner of Sacred Hearts Church. She was active for many years with the Topsfield Fair 4-H. She was very proud of her Polish heritage, often cooking the way she was taught by her mother. Her real joy in her life was her family. She often remarked that her initials may be “B.A.D.” but she certainly was not.

The Davidowicz family thanks the loving staff at Haverhill Crossing where Blanche resided the past year.

Her surviving family members include her children, Frances L. Eason and husband Jeffrey of East Boston, Jay Davidowicz and wife Jamie of Haverhill, C. Michael Davidowicz and wife Debbie of Haverhill and Ann M. Davidowicz and husband Dan Bresnahan of Haverhill; grandchildren that referred to her as “Bam” or “Babci” are Amanda Eason Mazza, Joshua Eason, Christopher Davidowicz, Adam Davidowicz, Joseph Davidowicz, Cody Davidowicz, Cameron Davidowicz and Candice Davidowicz; great-grandson, Ryan Mazza; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was also the sister of the late Veronica “Chochi” Switlekowski and Gerald Znamierowski; and mother of the late Robert W. Davidowicz, who passed in 1987.

Visiting hours are Sunday, May 14, at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Bradford, from 4 to 7 p.m. Services are Monday, beginning in the funeral home at 9. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main St., Bradford, at 10 a.m. Burial follows in St. Patrick Cemetery.
