Winnekenni Castle Plans Season of Concerts, Parties and More

Winnekenni Castle plans live music, psychic readings, children’s parties and more as it opens for the season.

The castle is located at 347 Kenoza Ave, off route 110. Here is an initial listing of events.

Readings take place the last Thursday of the month, through November, 5 to 9:30 p.m. Programs feature psychic readers and special guest services each month including Reiki, Energy Balancing, Aura Imaging, Gift Shopping and complimentary refreshments. Readings are $20 per each 15-minute block purchased. Appointments are booked at the door only and doors open at approximately 4:55 p.m.

Lunchtime Senior Shows

Free, live music and song performances take place on the third Wednesday of the month, from June through September, Noon to 1 p.m. Guests are asked to bring along a bagged or boxed lunch, if desired, to enjoy inside the Castle, where limited seating is available, during the show. Reservations are required.

The August show runs from noon to 2 p.m., and takes place outdoors. Visitors must provide their own lawn chairs.

Dolly-N-Me Princess Tea Party

Sunday, June 11, 1 to 3:15 p.m. Elegant place settings feature fancy finger foods and dainty sweet treats. There are also activities for child and favorite doll, souvenirs, private visit and photo opportunity with the princess of Winnekenni Castle. A genuine American Girl Doll will be Raffled. Tickets are $20 per child and $25 per adult and available online only.

July Fourth Pancake Breakfast

Tuesday, July 4, 8 to 11 a.m. Breakfast includes fun for children with coloring contest and “Kids Decorated Anything” and on-wheels parade with prizes awarded. Lawn Toys will be out and available for families.  Tickets are $5 per child and $8 for adults.

Annual End of Summer Cruise Day

Sunday, Aug. 27, noon to 4 p.m. Classic cars and live Doo Wop highlight this free event (donations are welcome). Participants may vote for their favorite cars. Food and refreshments will be available. There is no entry fee or pre-registration required for show cars. Arrival begins at 10 a.m.

Wild Animal Kingdom Day

Sunday, Sept. 2, 1 p.m.  Live animal presentation on the castle’s outdoor stage, followed by questions and answers and a meet and greet. Refreshments will be available. Suggested donation is $5 per family.

Labor Day Blues Concert

Monday, Sept. 3, 1 to 4 p.m. Food and refreshments are available at this free concert.

Annual Ladies in Jazz Concert

Sunday, Sept 17, 2 to 4 p.m. Food and refreshments are available at this free concert.

Children’s Halloween Costume Party

Sunday, Oct. 22, 1 to 3 p.m. Games, treats, photo opportunity with costumed character and family hayride. Arts and craft activities will be provided by Little Sprouts. Tickets are $8 per child and $5 for adults.

Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m. to noon. Games, treats, photo opportunity with Ole Saint Nick. Arts and craft activities will be provided by Little Sprouts. Tickets are $3 per child and $5 for adults.

Family Holiday Concert

Sunday, Dec. 3, 2 to 4 p.m.  Free with an optional donation to benefit Emmaus.

Holiday Craft and Gift Faire

Sunday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food and refreshments available and prizes will be awarded. Tickets are $2 per person.
