Raymond J. “Butch” Bouchard Jr., 72, Retired Haverhill Firefighter

Raymond_ BourchardRaymond J. “Butch” Bouchard Jr., 72, of Bradford, passed away April 30, at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born and educated in Haverhill, son of the late Raymond and Lillian R. (Donovan) Bouchard. He served the city as a firefighter for the Haverhill Fire Department for many years until his retirement. Bouchard was an outdoorsman and lifelong accomplished hunter and fisherman. He held a membership with the Haverhill Hound Rod and Gun Club and was a skilled marksman.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna (Dinges) Bouchard; their children and spouses, Brian Bouchard and Anne-Marie of Atkinson, Dennis Bouchard of Derry, N.H., and Susan Shaw and Paul of Bradford; siblings, Jeanne Carole Sampson of Haverhill, Sandra Malenfont of New Jersey, Randy Bouchard of Raymond, N.H., and Anthony Bouchard of Seabrook, N.H.; grandchildren, Nicole Eldridge and husband Jordan of Chatham, Ill., Brett Bouchard, and Cole Bouchard of Atkinson, N.H., and Cody Shaw and Tyler Shaw of Bradford; two great-grandchildren, Nikolas Eldridge and Noah Eldridge; several nieces, nephews; and many dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, May 5, from 9 to 11, at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m.  Burial is in Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Avenue, Haverhill.
