Voters also Reject Medical Marijuana Cultivation
Newcomer Lisa Dube-Carpenter is joining the Groveland Board of Selectmen, unseating incumbent Daniel J. McDonald during Monday’s balloting.
Dube-Carpenter was the top vote-getter in the race with 460 votes while challenger Andrew G. Cox received 375 votes and McDonald 272. Incumbent William F. Dunn retained his seat with 423 votes. Dube-Carpenter and Dunn will serve three years.
Voters also said they would not support medical marijuana cultivation in the town. Residents voted 465 to 249 against the question in a non-binding resolution.
Mark Parenteau was elected tree warden as a write-in candidate, winning 10 votes. Many other positions were sought by unopposed candidates.
