Immigrant March Ushers in ‘Your Hometown’ Program Tonight

Marc Lemay entertains listeners.

Marc Lemay is host of a new locally produced WHAV program, “Your Hometown.”

During tonight’s debut of “Your Hometown” over 97.9 WHAV, Marc Lemay talks with Teresa Giuffre and Joshua Alba about Monday’s Day Without Immigrants March in Lawrence.

Among many questions, Lemay asks whether those living in the country illegally should be worried about publicly marching, especially in light of recent actions by U.S. Immigrations and Custom Enforcement. Giuffre responded.

“They’re not worried about it. If there are people who are undocumented who are going to attend, they’re just such courageous people, they’re ready to take the chance because it is such an important event for them to come out and make a statement.”

Your Hometown, a new locally produced 97.9 WHAV talk program, airs Friday night at 6:30 p.m.

  1. So now it takes “courage” to break the law and then flaunt it in public – what a joke, Hey, maybe citizens who work every day and pay taxes should stop paying taxes to fund programs for freeloaders – the we’ll see how “courageous” they are.

  2. Congratulations on the new show. Marc Lemay is very astute and your listeners can expect a quality program. I look forward to an outstanding show.
