Buttonwoods Museum explores “The Colonial Kitchen” during an April school vacation workshop.

The workshop, for children ages 6 to 12, looks at what kinds of food were eaten in Haverhill during this time, how food was prepared before stoves and microwaves and provides other activities performed inside the Colonial kitchen. “The Colonial Kitchen” takes place Thursday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St. Families are invited to join children at 12:30 to sample the handiwork of participants.

The cost is $10for museum members and $15 for non-members and includes program supplies and snacks. Register at buttonwoods.org or email [email protected].
