Donna Ann (Saylor) Sweeney, 54, of Lowell, passed away April 8, at her home after a battle with cancer surrounded by her family.
Born in Port Jefferson, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Donald J. and Edna G. (Heaps) Saylor. She was a special needs coordinator for Career Resources for more 14 years. She enjoyed going to the local beaches and camping in the mountains.
Sweeney is survived by her sons, John E. Sweeney and his wife Denise of Haverhill, Billy Joe Sweeney and his wife Susan of Florida; fiancé, Luis Velazquez of Lowell; Tanya Velazquez of Lowell; Luis Velazquez Jr. of Lowell; two brothers, Donald Saylor and Randy Saylor; sister, Patricia Delarosi; grandchildren; Alexander and Zachary Sweeney, Briana Velazquez and Evelyn Velazquez; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, April 12, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are Thursday at 10 a.m., in the funeral home. Burial follows in Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Avenue, Haverhill.
