James R. Cusenza, 61, Owned Haverhill Delivery Services

James_CusenzaJames R. Cusenza, 61, of Haverhill, passed away unexpectedly March 27, at his home.

Born in Portsmouth, Virg., he was the son of Louis J. and Shirley A. (Simonian) Cusenza. He was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1974. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. In addition to being a financial manager for many years, he was co-owner of Haverhill Delivery Services. Cusenza loved Boston sports, especially his beloved Red Sox. An avid photographer, he enjoyed spending time at the beach and capturing his many photos. Most importantly was his time spent with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his companion Lea Marie Ahern of Haverhill; children, Jordan Cusenza, Julia Cusenza, James Cusenza Jr., Phillip Case Jr. and Jacob Case; sister, Deborah Coultas and her husband Thomas of Dracut; uncles, Ron Simonian and Art Munger of Methuen; aunt, Joyce Gould and her husband Walter of Haverhill; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, March 30. from 4 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services  follow in the funeral home at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Joslin Diabetes Foundation, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
