Robert B. Doucette, 72, Owned Doucette Carpentry

Robert_DoucetteRobert B. Doucette, 72, passed away March 10, at his daughter Diane Doucette and grandson Niko Doucette’s home, where he lived more than 20 years in Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Charles and Irene (Desmarais) Doucette. He was raised and educated in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School Trade School, class of 1962. He was employed in the shoe industry of Haverhill for a few years before working in carpentry and property management. He was the proprietor of Doucette Carpentry for many years. Doucette enjoyed traveling especially to Las Vegas. He enjoyed football and basketball games. He volunteered calling Bingo in many local parish halls.

Doucette is survived by his children, Diane L. Doucette of Haverhill, Carol Doucette and Sherrie Doucette, both of Farmington, N.H., Jennifer Doucette of Bradford, and Jason Cook and his wife Sherry of Haverhill; two grandchildren, Niko Doucette and Myah Scanlon; siblings, Edward, Charles and Ralph Doucette, Shirley Doucette, Margaret Belmer; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Chaplick and a brother, Richard Doucette.

Funeral services are private. Arrangements are by Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
