“Heroes in Our Midst,” a new book about local veterans by Tom Duggan, was the focus of discussion during Monday’s Open Mike Show on 97.9 WHAV.
Duggan, publisher of the Valley Patriot newspaper, said his newspaper honors a local veteran on the front page of each issue. It is a tradition going back to the Valley Patriot’s launch in 2004. The book is a collection of 134 stories and interviews covering veterans of World War II to Afghanistan.
