Jasper J. Jackson, 80, Korean War Veteran

Jasper J. Jackson, 80, formerly of Haverhill and Newton, N.H., died Thursday, March 9, at Maplewood Center, Amesbury.

He was born in Haverhill, March 14, 1936, son of the late Jasper W. and Genevieve (Kasheta) Jackson and was educated in the Haverhill school system. During the Korean War, he Honorably served in the United States Army. Jackson enjoyed listening to old time country music.

He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Fuller) Jackson, father of the late Michael Jackson, Avis Jackson, Jean Jackson and Genevieve Jackson and brother of the late Francis C. Jackson. His survivors include four sons, Jon A. Jackson of Haverhill, James J. Jackson and his wife Kathleen of Chicopee, Barry L. Jackson of Orlando, Fla., and Raymond E. Jackson and his wife Nancy of Kingston, N.H.; two sisters-in-law, Avis Fuller Bowles of N.C., and Jean Jackson of Haverhill; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and four nephews and two nieces.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours Thursday, March 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. His funeral service is Friday morning, March 17, at 11, at the funeral home. Burial is in the Lithuanian Cemetery, Bradford. Contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of ones choice.
