A popular Merrimac coffee shop is moving to Haverhill.

Angie’s Coffee Shop is coming to South Main Street under the new name of Bradford Place Café. Owner Angela Wadleigh chose to relocate to the storefront recently occupied by Lakeview Kitchen, 151 South Main St. The business received a common victualler license from the Haverhill License Commission during a special meeting Thursday afternoon. Wadleigh still must secure an occupancy permit before the restaurant may open.

“My plans are to serve a relaxed coffee, breakfast menu. Also, we have a kid’s menu on there, lunch,” Wadleigh told commissioners Joseph C. Edwards, Gerald A. Sewell and Tim Coco.

Wadleigh operated the Merrimac location three years and also operated Hillside Laundry, Amesbury, for 25 years.

Her brother, Thomas N. Pecorelli, was one of the nearly 3,000 people who died Sept. 11, 2001 when his plane struck the World Trade Center. He was a cameraman for Fox Sports Net and E! Entertainment Television.
