Nelson Cohen, 84, of Groveland and formerly of Haverhill and Peabody, passed away Tuesday, March 7, at Beverly Hospital.
He was born in Haverhill July 9, 1932, son of the late Simon and Rebecca (Berman) Cohen. He graduated from Haverhill High School with the class of 1950 and later from New England School of Art in Boston. He was a commercial artist and had a love for all sports.
Cohen is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara J. (Patkin) Cohen; daughter, Nancy L. Cohen of Medford; son, Scott L. Cohen of Rochester, N.H., and his fiancé Heather Zitoli; granddaughter Laura Cohen of Fairfield, Ohio.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Thursday, March 9, 11 a.m., at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial follows in the Children of Israel Cemetery, Haverhill. A memorial period will follow the interment until 6 p.m., at his residence.
