You can play 18 holes of miniature golf, compete for prizes, enjoy food or partake in crafts at, of all places, Haverhill Public Library.
The library is being transformed during its first Patron Appreciation Day, Sunday, March 26, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sponsored by Cedarland, the library becomes a free family fun zone that day.
“Haverhill Public Library receives such tremendous support from the community throughout the year,” says Ricky Sirois, assistant director. “We wanted to thank the citizens of Haverhill for that support by opening our doors for a day of fun family activities.”
The staff will set up 18 holes of mini golf all throughout the library, with themes ranging from Minecraft to Mystery and Hollywood to Haverhill. Start on the second floor of the library, winding your way through the children’s room, down towards the administration offices, around the auditorium and swirling down the spiral staircase. Pick up on the first floor and putt your way through the rest of our fun, family friendly course.
The library is using the event to cal attention to its free programs, book and movie collections, public computing and study areas.
Not sure of yourself on the green? The library will also have a variety of crafts and other activities around the building, offer face painting by an in-house artist or let you try your hand at the Duckie Derby and possibly win a prize.
