Linda (Osgood) Taylor, 69, Competed as Rider in Horse Competitions

Linda_TaylorLinda (Osgood) Taylor, 69, of Haverhill, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 21, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Beverly, June 15, 1947, daughter of the late Almond and Eva (Clarizia) Osgood.
Educated in the Danvers school system, Taylor attended Middlesex Community College, Northern Essex Community College and earned her master’s in Social Work from Springfield College. She was employed for several years as a program director/counselor at various agencies. Taylor was a well known rider and driver in the show horse world, competing all over New England.

Her survivors include her husband of 29 years Norman P. Taylor of Haverhill; daughter Tammy Taylor and her fiancé Dan Berube of Haverhill; son Christopher Jacques of Haverhill; step daughter Beth (Taylor) Church and her husband David of Haverhill; two brothers, Allen Osgood and his wife Martha of West Newbury, and Almond Osgood and his wife Joyce of Fremont, N.H.; two sisters, Arlene Sacane and her husband Rich of Summerfield, Fla., and Grace-Marie Dunajski of Derry, N.H.; granddaughter Eleisha Cascarano and her husband Joe of Quincy; great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Gianna; several nieces and nephew,s among whom are her goddaughter  Kara (Osgood) Percival; as well as several grandnieces, grandnephews and her beloved animals.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, Feb. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m, at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral will be Saturday morning, Feb. 25, at 9, in New Life Community Church, 186 East Main St., Georgetown. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
