It’s the era of prohibition, alcoholic beverages are illegal and socializing over a drink has to be on the down low.
But, you don’t need to know the password or ring a secret buzzer to get into Buttonwoods Museum’s “Speakeasy Social,” Wednesday, April 5. You are encouraged, though, to dress in attire from that the 1920s and 1930s and enter a dance and costume contest.
The night also features appetizers and live music performed by the Pentucket Jazz Quartet, a cash bar and door prizes. A unique ale, made especially for Buttonwoods by the Tap Brewing Co., is also available.
