Police said they found an adult man with visible injuries to his face near the Craven Street home when they responded to a report of an unarmed robbery about 5 p.m.

“He related that he was beaten and robbed by three men outside of 7 Craven St.,” police said. “The victim told officers that the suspects involved were known to him and that he had been socializing with them earlier in the day.”

The victim said he was kicked in the head, knocked to the ground, beaten and robbed of an undetermined amount of money.

Methuen officers received a search warrant and recovered a handgun at the home. The investigation is ongoing and additional criminal charges are expected, police said.
