Donald M. Seavey, 90, 30-Year Greenleaf School Crossing Guard

Donald_SeaveyDonald M. Seavey, 90, husband of the late Jennie (Collins) Seavey and the late Brenda (Morin) Seavey, passed away Feb. 12, at Wingate Nursing Home surrounded by his family.

Born and raised in Haverhill, he was the son of the late George E. and Martha A. (Hunt) Seavey. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946. He was employed in the shoe industry at Ornstein Shoe Company and was a crossing guard for 30 years at the Greenleaf School.

Seavey is survived by his children, Doris M. Lamirande of Haverhill; Judy A. Safran of Haverhill; Jerry M. Seavey of Salem, N.H.; Tammy A. Brown and her husband Eric of Alton Bay, N.H.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Donald M. Seavey Jr.

At the request of the family, services were private. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
