(File photograph.)

Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini released this photograph of himself in a Department of Public Works truck Sunday.

With another inch or two of snow expected, all schools are closed in Haverhill, Methuen, Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, Andover, Pentucket Regional High School and Timberlane Regional District.

Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini declared a snow emergency as of 4, yesterday afternoon. It remains in effect until noon, today. A snow emergency means no parking is allowed on certain downtown streets including Emerson, Essex, Main Street from Merrimack Street to Monument Square, Merrimack Street, River Street from Comeau Bridge to View Street, Washington Street from Washington Square to Comeau Bridge, Water Street from Main to Mill Streets, White and Winter Streets. While the city is asking all cars not to be parked on other city streets, parking is allowed on the even side of the street. Cars parked on the odd side may be ticketed.

Trash collection in Haverhill, Methuen and Andover is delayed one day. Other cancellations include the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Congressional Breakfast

Haverhill’s 311 call center is open until 5 p.m., today. Methuen’s emergency operations center is also open. Timberlane Regional High School’s National Art Society Fundraiser is also still on.

Non-emergency state offices will open at 11 a.m.

Election Year Failurentini at it again!!
The man of the people hard at work….
Stop for a second to think about what went into this picture making it to WHAV. Mayor Taxman had to take a DPW driver off the streets from working and he had to bring someone with him to take the picture. David Van Dam, is that what you signed up for?…..Then they had to forward the picture to HAV to make sure it made it in time to be printed in Monday’s addition. All part of self-promotion campaign of an incompetent, failing incumbent politician seeking reelection.
    Too funny!!
