Eileen F. (Danese) Flanagan, 86, Retired from Karelis Wood Heel

eileen_flanaganEileen F. (Danese) Flanagan, 86, of Haverhill, wife of the late Thomas Flanagan, passed away at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, Feb. 6, surrounded by her family.

Born in Southbridge, she was the daughter of the late John A. and Rose (LaPenta) Danese. Raised and educated in Haverhill, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1948. She was a lifelong resident of Haverhill and was a communicant of All Saints Church. Flanagan worked her entire life in the Haverhill Shoe industry and retired from the Karelis Wood Heel Company. Family was everything to her and enjoyed their company. She spent many days playing the board game “Aggravation” with family and friends. She enjoyed watching her favorite soap opera, the Young and the Restless

Flanagan is survived by her brother, John A. Danese and his wife Doris of Haverhill, and her nephew, John J. Danese and his companion Karen White of Haverhill.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Monday, Feb. 13, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services begin Tuesday morning at 10, from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 at All Saints Parish, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill. Burial follows in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, North Broadway, Haverhill. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Merrimack Valley Hospice House, 360 North Avenue, Haverhill, MA 01830.
