The Andover Choral Society is conducting open rehearsals the next two Mondays in preparation for a planned May concert.

Those who enjoy singing choral music are asked to attend Mondays, Feb. 6 and 13, from 7:20 to 9:30 p.m., at Christ Church, 33 Central St., Andover. All voice parts are welcome.

The chorus is preparing for a concert Saturday, May 6, called “In Troubled Times,” featuring Haydn’s “Lord Nelson Mass,” and David Conte’s “September Sun,” a commemorative piece to those who perished on Sept. 11, and Mack Wilberg’s “Peace Like a River.”

High school juniors and seniors are also invited to sing with Andover Choral Society through the Society’s Choral Scholars Program. The program is free to students from any town, if they are currently in good standing in their high school chorus.
