Plaistow Bank Robbery Suspect Wanted for Questioning By FBI

FBI and Lawrence police officials identified this man, who is alleged to have robbed a Plaistow, N.H., bank, is Chaka Meredith of Laconia, N.H.

Plaistow, N.H., police are searching for a 41-year-old Laconia, N.H., resident in connection with a robbery at the Santander Bank in Pentucket Plaza on Route 125

The FBI and Lawrence police say the suspect, Chaka Meredith, is wanted for questioning about other robberies in Lawrence and Laconia.

The image of the man identified as Meredith was caught on video during the alleged robbery, which occurred Monday shortly after noon. The suspect handed a teller a note, but no weapon was shown during the robbery, police said.

The man police say is Meredith may have left the scene in an older, four-door, gray Oldsmobile Alero.

Police continue to investigate this incident, and ask anyone who was in the Pentucket plaza or the vicinity of the bank at the time of the robbery and believe they may have witnessed something connected to this crime, to contact the Plaistow Police Detective Unit directly at 603-382-1200.
