Gus Bickford, newly elected chairman of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee, addresses Haverhill Democrats next Monday as the group works to raise awareness of issues brought about by the Donald Trump administration.
Bickford, who was elected party chair in November, is the owner of Factotum Productions, a survey research firm. He has administered voter contact programs for presidential campaigns of John Kerry in 2004 and Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 and Hillary Clinton and the recent successful campaign to defeat the ballot question that would have lifted the cap on new charter schools. He also served as political director for Martha Coakley’s U.S. Senate campaign and Niki Tsongas’ congressional campaign and developed and managed the targeting for Elizabeth Warren’s 2012 U.S. Senate race.
The Haverhill Democratic City Committee meets Monday night, Feb. 6, at 6:30, at the Haverhill Public Library Auditorium. Members will also discuss the committee’s newly established Strategic Action, Events and Young Dems Groups.
Following the meeting, registered Democrats are holding a caucus at to elect delegates and alternates to the 2017 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. Haverhill is sending 36 delegates and 28 alternates to the convention, along with other ex-officio delegates. The 2017 convention takes place Saturday, June 3, at the Tsongas Center, Lowell. Democrats from across the state will gather to nominate Democratic candidates for Governor and other statewide offices.
The caucus is open to all registered Democrats in Haverhill as of Jan. 31. Ballots will be written and secret. Those not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be add-on delegates in the following categories: youth, minority or disabled.

There was no voter fraud. The only discrepancies in our elections came from hacking from the Russians. The fact that Trump won’t acknowledge or do anything about this enemy attack must have Ronald Reagan rolling in his grave.
Not only did Haverhill’s incompetent liberal democrat mayor make national news by trying to intimidate a Haverhill citizen with fines because his private property had lots of signs for for the candidate the mayor didn’t support, the mayor also spent city money to congratulate criminal trespassers in this city illegally who voted.
The mayor invested in Spanish “Yo Vote’ ” stickers. These stickers were given to non-English speaking criminal trespassers who voted in the election. There is no way a person with the legal ability to vote does so without the ability to speak English. A person raised in this country obviously does not reach adulthood without learning to speak English. And it is a mandatory requirement that a person who becomes a naturalized citizen to this country legally “must” know how to read, write and speak English. Common sense then dictates those people who don’t understand English are criminal trespassers.
The mayor willingly and knowingly participated in voter fraud. That is a FACT !

Democrats may be safe in the gerrymandered insular nature of Massachusetts, but many still do not get how Republicans and Donald Trump just capped 2016 with a hundred-plus year electoral feat. This especially true for neo-liberals who think selling out The American People to Wall Street, Big Pharma, DoD contractors, and all the other small pool of beneficiaries of crony capitalism. Most of the hypocrites from Massachusetts in CONgress have the campaign donors and voting records to match their selling out, with a just as corrupt media holding their hands along the way. Stephen Lynch is probably the only true Democrat left from Massachusetts, a “Party of The People” they are no longer. They sure as hell are not for the worker – see outsourcing, off-shoring, and H-1B abuse, and then Democrats wonder how they lost.

Once Trump proves millions of illegals voted in the election he’s going to move on to implement a National Voter ID registration process. And he’ll get it passed…not just because the GOP controls the entire legislative branch, but because who doesn’t want to make sure there is no manipulation of our elections? Once he gets voter ID legislation passed Democrats at the national and state level, especially those in highly populated minority states and inner cities, will never get elected again.

While teenage girls in Haverhill are getting dragged into the woods at city parks and raped by criminal trespassers in this country illegally, Haverhill Democrats say absolutely nothing. Unless introducing legislation to protect dogs and cats at MSPCAs like happened last week by a Haverhill female state representative is what you call helping citizens. Look no further for a perfect example of the insanity of liberal democrats in Massachusetts than a state rep saying nothing about sex crimes in the city she represents, instead introducing legislation to protect pets, and then turns around and votes herself a massive pay raise.
But they can get away with this incompetence because even those elected liberal democrats who have a vested self-interest to support certain constituencies say nothing for the sake of pushing the liberal agenda. Mary Ellen Daley O’Brien last year won an award for being an outstanding Democrat in Haverhill. What exactly did she do to receive this award? It looks like protecting and advocating for women who are victims of sex crimes in the city wasn’t part of the criteria to get that trophy.
