Mark Todd Mencis, 54, Worked at Psychological Center

mark_mencisMark Todd Mencis, 54, passed away Jan. 1, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, surrounded by his family.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Harriet I. Goralnick of Haverhill and the late Milt N. Mencis. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1980. He also attended Temple University and Northern Essex Community College. He was employed as a computer analyst and previously worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and Cisco Systems. Most recently he was employed at the Psychological Center, Lawrence. He was a New England Patriots fan and enjoyed WWE wrestling. He loved playing cards and traveling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City and Europe. Mencis liked to travel on cruise ships throughout the Caribbean Islands and made many friends. He liked to listen to all genres of music and enjoyed swimming.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister Lisa B. Minion of Windham, N.H.; uncles Edward Mencis of Sandown, N.H., Lester Mencis of North Andover, and Arnold Goralnick of Canton; dear friend Cathleen Collins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Samuel and Gertrude (Jacobowicz) Goralnick. He also leaves his dog Jasper.

Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services Sunday, Jan. 8, 1 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Burial will follow at the Children of Israel Cemetery, 324 Middle Road, Haverhill.
