Charles J. D’Agata, 82, Worked for Bolta Co.

charles_dagataCharles J. D’Agata, 82, passed away Jan. 1, at Lawrence General Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Born in Lawrence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Scalia) D’Agata. Raised and educated in Lawrence, he was a graduate of Lawrence High School. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1956. He worked for the Bolta Company, Lawrence, a plastics company. D’Agata was a car buff and especially loved Corvettes. He enjoyed day trips to the local beaches including Salisbury Beach. He was a big Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and enjoyed watching the games. He also enjoyed watching all genres of movies.

D’Agata is survived by his children, Charlene D. Godbold of San Diego, Calif., Michael C. D’Agata and his wife Patricia (Fleming) of Charlotte, N.C., David J. D’Agata and his wife Kimberly (Dusombre) of Haverhill, and Danita M. Parker and her husband Robert of Minneola, Fla; brother, John D’Agata and his wife Lorraine of Cape Coral, Fla.; longtime friend, Susan King of Waltham; and grandchildren, Jamison M. D’Agata, Avianna Marchand, Hannah M. Parker, Joshua T. Parker, Sophia E. D’Agata and Emma R. D’Agata.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Thursday, Jan. 5, from 5 to 6 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
