Valerie LaBerge, 60, Housekeeper at Florida Hotels

Valerie LaBerge, 60, of Haverhill, and formerly of Port Orange Fla., died Tuesday morning, Dec. 27. She was under hospice care and passed peacefully at home surrounded by family.

She was born in Haverhill, daughter of the late Kenneth and JoAnne (Simpson) Hunt. She was educated in the Danvers school system and graduated from Danvers High School. For many years, LaBerge was employed as a housekeeper at many Florida hotels in Coco Beach and Cape Canaveral. She was able to befriend many movie stars and astronauts while living and working in Florida. She adored arts and crafts and while living in Florida collected sea shells.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Sherry White, Sandra Butcher and April Joy.
She is survived by her children, Keith Dwayne Joyce and Stephanie Rumundo; aunts, uncles and cousins, Linda and Mark Clark, Barbara and Rick Swain, Florence Marciszka and Bruce Hunt.

There will be a graveside service in the spring at Oak Grove Cemetery, Danvers, where she will join her parents and sisters once more. In lieu of flowers please donate in her name to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Building 9, Lawrence, MA 01843. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford.
