Methuen Police Seek Help Finding Santander Bank Robber

Methuen Police are searching for a man who robbed a local bank just after noon, Wednesday.

Methuen Police responded at 12:10 to a report Santander Bank, 125 Merrimack St., had been robbed.

“Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect passed a note to the teller and fled with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect did not show a weapon,” said a statement from Mayor Stephen N. Zanni and Chief Joseph Solomon.

They described the man as older, white, approximately five feet eight inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, gray plaid jacket, jeans, dark sneakers and a black Giants baseball cap. A report added, the man may have fled in an older model, blue Dodge Intrepid. The vehicle was last seen on Route 213 heading towards Interstate 93.
