Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce President Joseph J. Bevilacqua had a chance to talk with Canadian officials recently about improving trade between Canada and the Valley.

Bevilacqua, who is also a Haverhill city councilor was among roughly 20 business leaders who met with Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil and David Alward, Canadian consul general to New England after the dedication of the Nova Scotia Christmas tree, Dec. 2, at the Canadian Consulate.

“(McNeil) took the day after while he was in Boston to meet with business leaders and discuss trade and investment,” Bevilacqua said.
