Middle school students from the city’s public middle schools as well as St. Joseph and Sacred Hearts schools will participate in a Model United Nations Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 14 and 15, at Haverhill High School.

The annual event, nicknamed Hillie MUN, brings dozens of Haverhill middle schoolers to HHS for a mock international gathering in which students take on the roles of ambassadors of several nations.

As a result of the success of the Hillie MUN program, many city middle schools have their own Model United Nations clubs that operate during the academic year.

The event is run by senior members of international studies teacher Zachary Simmons’ Model UN team.
