Residents are asked to be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles in their neighborhoods as Haverhill Police try to find one or more vandals responsible for shooting out more than a dozen car windows and at least one house window this weekend.

Detective Lt. Robert P. Pistone said what appears to have been a BB gun was used to shatter glass in several city neighborhoods Saturday and Sunday.

“Going forward citizens are asked to be vigilant and to report immediately to the police any suspicious vehicles in their neighborhood,” he said. Residents are urged to call the Haverhill Police tip line at 978-373-1212, prompt 1.

On Saturday, police received complaints of glass being shot out of a Card Street home as well as car windows on Dwight and Race Streets and Bellevue Avenue. Striking again Sunday, cars were struck by BBs on Federal, Dartmouth, Cedar, Brook, Rosemont and Atlanta Streets and Fifth, 6th, 11th, 16th, 11th Avenues and Forest Acres Drive.
