Margaret H. (Geary) Margossian, 82, of Bradford and formerly of Chelsea, passed away Dec. 10, at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen.
She was born in Chelsea, Oct. 21, 1934, daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Targee) Geary. Margossian graduated from Chelsea High School and attended Northeastern University. She was employed by Mass. Fair Plan for many years, retiring as a senior auditor, and was an active member of the local chapter of Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women. She attended Sacred Hearts Church, Bradford, and took great pride in being a matriarch and aunt.
She was the wife of the late James G. Margossian, who passed away in 1995, and is survived by her children Theresa L. and her husband John Connors of Wakefield, Lizbeth Margossian of Bradford, J. Gregory Margossian and his wife Marilyn of Bradford, and Robert F. Margossian of North Billerica; brother Francis J. Geary Jr. and his wife Eva of Peabody; sister Roseann and her husband Frederick Festa of Saugus; grandchildren Michael J. Erickson and Dana E. Margossian; great grandson Rion P. Glennon; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mary Theresa Liadis, Charles Geary, Anthony Geary, Ann Callaway, and mother-in-law of the late Maryellen Margossian.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., at H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St. (route 125), Bradford. Her funeral will be Thursday, Dec. 15, beginning at 9 a.m., at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 South Main St., Bradford. Burial follows in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
