Haverhill Police Arrest 2 Area Motorists on Drunken-Driving Charges

Two area motorists face drunken driving charges in Haverhill District Court following separate arrests by Haverhill police over the weekend.

Richard Benjamin, 47, of Sandown, N.H., was arrested Sunday, at 11:58 p.m., on Gile Street and charged with driving under the influence of liquor and failure to stop or yield.

Alicia Bursey, 25, of Andover, was arrested Saturday, at 2:59 a.m., at 2 Washington St. She was charged with driving under the influence of liquor and alcohol from an open container.
