The Haverhill Council on Aging is collecting gifts for lonely seniors at area nursing homes.
Gifts are accepted at the agency’s giving tree, in the dining room at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St. It is asked gifts be wrapped and contents labeled to aid distribution to appropriate residents and patients.
“The recipients of our gifts are lonely seniors with no families to visit or holiday gatherings to attend. We can make a small difference in their lives by donating and delivering small gifts for them,” a statement said.
