Henry Aviles, 49, Worked at Market Basket

henry_avilesHenry Aviles, 49, of Haverhill, passed away Nov. 29,at Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley, Haverhill, surrounded by his family.

Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Guillermo and Miriam (Rodriquez) Aviles of Haverhill. Raised and educated in Puerto Rico, he came to the United States in 1989 with his family and settled in Southbridge. He has lived in Haverhill for the past 12 years. Aviles was employed at Market Basket in Haverhill for the past several years. In his younger years he was an avid baseball player and loved following the Red Sox. He enjoyed fishing of all types, at the beach, on the ocean, lakes and streams. He loved Salsa music and shooting pool.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Henry Aviles Jr. of Haverhill; companion of 22 years, Billie Jo Goddard of Haverhill; step daughter, Sara Carrasco Morley and her husband Deryl of Farmington, N.H.; a step son, Wilfredo Carrasco of Haverhill; siblings, Angel Rodruquez of Amesbury, Jacqueline Aviles of Puerto Rico, Maria Aviles and Waleska Aviles, of Haverhill; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and in laws.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service follows in the funeral home at 7.
