Tanya Marie Quinton, 30, ASL Language Arts Teacher

tanya_quintonTanya Marie Quinton, 30, of Haverhill, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 20, at her home. She was born in Boston July 13, 1986 and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School with the class of 2007.

Quinton battled a lifetime of illnesses, most notably Prader Willi Syndrome and Psuedohypoparathyroidism, leaving her with a severe learning disability and many obstacles to living what people would consider a traditional life. Despite challenges that would have left most people with a negative attitude, she always remained positive and never let anything get in the way of her happiness or the things she loved to do. She was an avid scrapbooker, jewelry maker, certified ASL language arts teacher and a member of a bowling league that led her to her true love, Josh Hart, whom she often planned her marriage and future. She loved vacationing with her family in New Hampshire visiting Clarks Trading Post, Storyland and Water Country. She volunteered at a nursing home working with blind and deaf patients, a babysitter for her niece as well as her numerous animal friends. She was a wonderful, kindhearted person.

She is survived by her mother Patricia M. “Tricia” and her husband Darren McIntosh of Haverhill; sister Crystal L. Quinton and her husband James Richard of Boston;  brother Ryan A. Quinton and his partner Tais Statucka of Haverhill; niece McKenzie Quinton; longtime boyfriend Josh Hart and her best friend Debi Webster.

Services will be privately held. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford. At the family’s request, donations to help with her funeral expenses may be made by visiting www.farmerfuneralhomes.com.
