Agnes (Pompa)Lauretta, 102, Worked at Western Electric

agnes_laurettaAgnes (Pompa)Lauretta, 102, of Dorchester and formerly of Haverhill, passed away Monday, Nov. 21 at Bostonian Nursing Care and Rehab in Boston.

She was born in Haverhill Aug. 17, 1914, daughter of the late Joseph and Orsolina(Vigliano) Pompa. She was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill High School. After graduation she was employed at Western Electric from where she retired. After retiring, she moved to Hyannis. She enjoyed arts and crafts, shopping, playing bingo, and spending time with her dog.

She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore and sisters, Anna Gambino, Marie Proulx, Theresa Comeau as well her twin sister Lucy Forbes. Her survivors include  nieces Lauretta Proctor, Agnes Hurley and Terry Downie all of Dorchester, as well as several other nieces and nephews in the Haverhill area.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her calling hours Saturday, Nov. 26, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral service follows at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill.
